Shanxi Haolunke Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanxi Sunlight Coking Group. Being located in Wangjialing Circular Economy Industrial Park, Hejin City, Shanxi Province, Haolunke is a high-tech enterprise mainly engaged in coal tar deep processing, carbon microsphere production, as well as the production of naphthalene series and anthracene series of fine chemical products.
Having 350 employees and covering an area of more than 300 mu with a total asset of RMB 400 million, Haolunke is a rising star in the coal chemical industry making rapid innovation and development. Haolunke is capable of producing more than 20 kinds of fine chemical products, including refined anthracene, carbazole, anthraquinone, refined naphthalene, 1-naphthol, 2-naphthol, asphalt, mesocarbon microbeads, etc., which occupy a large share in the domestic market. Its products have been widely used in carbon, dyes, pharmaceuticals, spices, rubber antioxidants, phenolic aldehyde and epoxy, semiconductor industry, pharmaceutical chemistry, new energy and other industries.
Haolunke has obvious cost and geographical advantages. With an abundant raw materials and energy supply, Haolunke has a coking production capacity of 5 million tons and a tar processing capacity of 1.08 million tons, giving it unique edges in cost and location.
Haolunke has advanced equipment and technology. It set a technology development company and a coal chemical research and development laboratory in Shanghai. Haolunke is capable of producing more than 20 kinds of fine chemical products, including coal tar pitch, washing oil, dephenolized phenol oil, light oil, crude phenol, crude naphthalene, refined anthracene, carbazole, anthraquinone, refined naphthalene, 1-naphthol, 2-naphthol, asphalt, mesocarbon microbeads, etc., which occupy a large share in the domestic market. Its products have been widely used in carbon, dyes, pharmaceuticals, spices, rubber antioxidants, phenolic aldehyde and epoxy, semiconductor industry, pharmaceutical chemistry, new energy and other industries.
The anthracene oil processed and produced by using our tar is used as a raw material for production of carbazole, and its by-product de-crystal anthracene oil is supplied to carbon black plant. Haolunke adopts the domestically initiative "melt crystallization method" to produce anthraquinone by oxidizing carbazole and refined anthracene, which has the following competitive advantages compared to the traditional "solvent method" process:
1.The production environment and system safety have been significantly improved. Compared with the traditional process, the two-step crystallization is realized by automatic control in fully enclosed equipment, which eliminates cooling and crystallization during the preparation of crude anthracene and the overflow of oil mist in the centrifugation process, with no need to use highly volatile, flammable and explosive organic solvents in the crystallization of fraction, enabling system safety to be greatly improved.
2.The yield and production capacity of products have increased significantly. The yield of crude anthracene increased from 7% to over 12%, and the yield of refined anthracene and carbazole respectively increased from 65% and 55% to over 75%, with a production capacity increase by 50%; through the comprehensive modification and upgrade of anthraquinone production process, the consumption of refined anthracene is about 5% lower compared with its peers, with a production capacity increase by 30%.
3.There is an obvious cost advantage. The project relies on the water, electricity, coal gas, steam, raw materials and by-products supplied by group companies within the park with a transport distance of about 400m, and the liquid refined anthracene produced by it could directly flow to anthraquinone smelting pot through pipelines, thus reducing the energy consumption of products by about 10% compared with traditional process, and reducing the solvent consumption of 150kg/t, cutting labor cost by half and making cost drop by RMB 2100/t.
4.The product quality is stable and controllable. With the improvement of automation level, the quality of refined anthracene and carbazole is more controllable, which enables the products in various qualities to be produced according to market demands and the first-class product rate of anthraquinone to reach 100%.
5.The labor productivity has increased by two times. Benefiting from the adoption of an optimized DCS system, the staff number was reduced by 50% compared to traditional process, while the production capacity increased by 50%.
